Default 1987 mustang gt 5.0 ho help please wont stay started

its efi its got an alarm in there i disconnected a alarm pice and now when i hold the ign pice to on the car well stay running but soo has i let go the key it dies out again i think the alarm might be wired in to the ign ? any help would be nice
