Default Oil Pickup

Sorry for all the questions, but theyre a little important

anyways, i bought this oil pan

http://summitracing.com/parts/MOR-20521/

It appears to be a stock replacement, with a 2 inch extension welded on the rear sump

now with that said, the new sump is about 2 inches deeper than the stock, am i going to need a new oil pickup because of it? being based off the stocker, it should still pick up oil but this problem just occured to me, do i need a new pickup?

you should be able to get away with a stock pick up, otherwise you could bend it a little bit.

A oil pump pick up should be close to the bottom of the pan. Some even touching.

The whole idea behind a deep sump pan is to keep the oil away from the crank.
