my front bumper has a lot of peeling paint. Right now the car is primer black, but i can see that it has been painted white and red previously. what can i use to get the paint off the bumper to re paint it? should i sand blast it or take some jasco to it?

unless you are familiar with preping surfaces for paint, take it to someone who is, I usually scuff the surface with scotch brite pads but you'll need to remove peeling paint first

well since your such an expert with all the experience you now have, why come on here and ask the question??...use your expertise....fyi , I've painted more that just a few body part and motor cycles and we'll leave it at that.......like I said and I'll say it one more time so listen up, remove the peeling paint by lightly sanding and scuff with scotch brite pads, DO NOT use paint remover it will melt the bumper covering to a gooy mess, then onc surface is prepped I use professional primer with adhesion promoter specially for plastic bumper covers, if the covering is off the car often times a flex agent is recommended so lifting and shatter won't occur......I've done more than a few of these lets say and will soon do my 92 rear cover to replace a damaged on on there now I only use proffesional spray guns for the quality they deliver, however if your cheap and like such results use a rattle can primer ftl.

go to th epaint store and buy a spray can of "Peeler" its made to strip bumber covers down to the factory primer

i havent ever used that brand, i want to get a cervinis stalker for my vert next time it gets repainted.
i used peeler on my bumper with good results, ill have to try that sem next time
