So nobody knows how much play should be in the tail shaft bushing? Also i have noticed I have been intermittently getting some pretty bad wheel hop. I don't know if that could be something linked to the vibration problem.

I also have new u-joints, transmission cross member, and new trans mount. The tubes on the cross member are not welded but i was told that should be fine. The bolt holes in the bushings on the cross member are bigger in diameter then the bolts the hole is 1/2" whereas the stock bolts are 3/8". Would either of those cause and intense shifter vibration or am i looking at something else? Thanks guys
Are you referring to the bolts on the trans mount or where the crossmember bolts to the unibody. Either way, that can definitely be the source. I will not say it is. But it can. I would NEVER run grossly oversized bolt holes on bolts. That's engineering taboo.

BTW how are your tires? ANY wear will misadjust your alignment and possibly cause this.
