Default 31 spline 8.8 rearend 5 lug in a fox question

im looking to upgrade my rearend from 2.73 to 3.31 gears.im wondering if the 31 spline carrier from a f150 or explorer will work in my mustang???? also ebay has alot of options as far as 31 spline 5 lug axles. how do i know what will fit in the mustang rearend without getting a $300 set from moser.

You could get some Strange axles for $250....lol.

nice . i wasnt wanting to spend that much on the whole swap. i got a set of gears from ebay. 3.31 ratio. 2008 cobra take outs for 5.50.only 2700 miles

so i seen where 2 driverside ranger axles will work???? doesnt sound safe at 500hp and slicks.

so guess the real question is will the carrier from a f150 or explorer work in the mustang 8.8?
