Not 100% sure,but might wanna put a fuel pressure gauge on there and watch it while you drive,kinda sounds like a heat soak problem with a fuel line.....just throwin this out there??

hmm.. now im stumped. i dont know which direction to take. haha. my coil looks crappy and there are some wires that plug into it that are wrapped in electrical tape. not sure if the coil is bad or not.
are there Fuel pressure gauges that'll reach all the way inside the car or are they only mounted in the engine bay?
i have limited knowledge on how even to work a multitester, but i put the dial on the lowest setting (2) and when i lined up the prongs with the terminals i was getting reading of .289-.3 at idle. Who knows if i even measured it right! haha.
it hasnt left me stranded yet. my symptoms have been different after changing my stator. i dont get stranded for hours while the car cools down. it just chokes and sputters occasionally in gear while driving in the streets/highways. i took pics of my coil to show just how crappy the surroundings look. (like most of my engine bay)
take out the MAF sensor and look into it under a bright light. you should be able to see a couple of tiny wires inside, less than half an inch long. they should be as white as the background of this page. if not, clean them with MAF cleaner, NOT carb clean or brake clean. NOTHING chlorinated.
