at what rpm is the stock rev limiter set at for an 89 gt.. and what does everyone think of a safe rpm to shift at if im running it? it only has 56,000 original miles, just had the tranny rebuilt and was curious. Thanks a lot guys!

rev limiter is at 6250rpm...
and if your engine is stock, or rebuilt with stock parts... ~5200 should be your max

alright thank you very much... i kinda figured around 5, i feel sketchy going past that but im getting an msd 6al and i was gonna set the rev limiter at 5500 what do you think?
Really 5200? **** I bring mine up to redline a fair bit? Isnt redline 5700? Am I hurting my engine?
