TREMECs are notchy, it's part of their design characteristics. GM SM was designed specifically for use in the manual TREMECs, which is probably why it's the best fluid to use in them Check the shifter too, if it's the factory one the main housing is 2 pieces(if it came with the factory one like I had) and if the bolts come loose you'll encounter shifting issues.

OK guys, thanks for the info. I'm going to have a shop flush out the Redline and replace it with GM SM. I'll also have them check out some other transmission components to make sure everything is OK.
