Question 306 to 347 stroker?

I had my 302 bored out .060 before I decided I want a stroker kit. All kits I have seen require .030-.040 overbore. Does anyone know if it is possible to go with the larger pistons and a 347 stroker package? the only thing I could see a problem with is cracking the block. Thanks!

+1, go to an engine shop and see if they have any abandoned blocks. lots of people take blocks into machine shops, have tons of work done to them and when they find out the price they just say f*ck it and leave the block without paying. the machine shop is then out all that time they put into it so they sell the block off cheap

if you want to still use your block you may need to get custom made pistons made. they can get $$$ real fast

Call Coast High Performance, they advertise in all the Mustang magizines.
They have your kit and it isn't much more money than any of the others.
I went .060 over on an early, 1969 block and they had the stuff I needed right on the shelve...........
