I always had a problem with my fuel pump always running after i shut the car off, But it would stop after 5 minutes or 10 minutes after. Starting yesterday it stays on and now im having a problem i think it killed my battery. My car wont start and i get no lights on the dash i switched the battery out even tho its only a month old it killed the other battery just from moving it. i must have a short in my alternator harness may be? the harness and the alternator was replaced a month ago also Any clues about the fuel pump still running? and a reason why my car wont start?

you don't have a short in the alt harness, the system is completely seperate, your fp relay may be snafu or the ecm is triggering the relay when it shouldn't, recharge your battery and replace fuel pump relay= cheap and quick harry homeowner attempt at fix.

changing the correct relay? the fuel pump relay is under the drivers seat, possibly even under the carpet depending on which plant the car was made at.
