Default 1987 mustang gt no spark

we need help asap! the car wont start and the races are tomorrow.... anyways he had a prob with the fuel pump and that got fixed and now theres no spark? the red wire going to the coil is hot and the other one is not hot or cold? distributor spins and the coils good? any ideas on what it is or troubleshooting tips? THANKS

well if the coils good, only 2 other options. TFI or PIP. both of them are part of the distributor.

if u changed distributors(with a known good one), and the coil is known to be good, you either have ignition switch failure, or the PCM is ready to be a paperweight.

TFI = thick film ignition module, bolted to the front of the dizzy
PIP = profile ignition pickup, located underneath the rotor, inside the dizzy

well we hadve swapped the comp and thats not the prob.... how would u test ignition ?
