hey guys do u know if a 1inch gt40 intake spacer will fit under a stock hood? and what are the benefits of using a spacer, do they actually help power? will i need a intake gasket on each side of spacer? thanks

I dont know if it will fit under the stock hood. Could you lay something on top of the intake an inch thick and close the hood to see if it will touch? Also,, dont forget that unless you have solid motor mounts the engine will rock side to side under accel and decel conditions, so if it clears just sitting there it may still touch when you accel or decel.
Spacers are supposed to keep the upper intake cooler by preventing some heat transfer from the lower intake.

the quick answer is no. I'm working the issue right now on a 90 Gt. The Evac tube on the throttle body hits the hood. I'll know more today but I'm think it is actually hitting one of the hood braces, it that is the case a Hole saw should take care of that. If I didn't have to smog the car I would just cut it off and plug it.
Yes there are 2 gaskets (1 top/1 Bottom). You will need to get longer bolts also, the FRPP M-9486-A53 kit came with bolts but all were 1" short" so the local Hardware store supplied ones that would work.
