Default 88 5.0 gt wont run till it warms up?

ok its a totally stock 5.0 ho engine 88 gt car flowmaster exhaust
the car runs pretty good has like a 100k on it problem is when i crank it up
first time it cranks and dies
second it might do it again third itll idle fine
but if you even touch the gas pedal it dies
if you let the car warm up for like 15 minutes its fine
i almost think maybe its a sensor but not sure which would make it do this
it has brand new temp sensors both of them also
any help would be great

.......the car runs in open loop when first started until it warms up which o2 sensors are not part of.

I have a similar problem. The car would always die on first attempt to start then after it starts on the second attempt it would go to around 200 rpm or die if I touched the throttle. After warming up I would have the idle hunting in about a 400 rpm range between 600 (lowest low) and 1500 (highest high). There never seemed to be any rhyme or reason to the range. Just two days ago I disconnected the wiring to the IAC and now the car starts and idles steady at 800 rpm on the first try. It is still touchy until it has warmed up for a couple of minutes but no longer dies. The idle hunting is pretty much gone as well.

I had cleaned the IAC previously and done the idle reset procedure a couple times with no luck. I had also made sure all vacuum lines were functioning correctly and there were no leaks. I may eventually get a new IAC but it runs so well now that I don't know if I want to spend the money.

also where is that procedure for resetting the idle?

1. Disconnect the battery's negative terminal to reset/clear the computer's memory. Leave it disconnected for 30 minutes. WARNING: Whenever removing your battery cables ALWAYS disconnect the negative battery cable first and reconnect it last. Otherwise you could destroy your computer or cause a battery explosion.
2. Disconnect the plug going to your idle motor which is located on the front of your throttle body.
3. Reconnect your battery's negative terminal.
4. Start the engine, and set the idle to the rpm you want with the stop screw on the bottom of the throttle body.
5. Turn off the engine.
6. Reconnect the plug on the idle motor
7. Make sure all accesories (radio, blower motor, a/c, lights, etc) are off and start the engine.
8. Let engine run for two minutes.
9. Turn engine off and wait two minutes then restart engine and let idle for two minutes with all accesories on.
