Default front 17X9 wheels and coilover clearance

i need help i have 17x9 wheels in the front of my car.... i just put a set of coilovers in the front but it does not clear the wheel..... has anyone had this problem before...spacers, struts, spindles?what do i need to clear the wheel....

very common problem. you should consider finding a 17x8 wheel, or run wheel spacers (ugly and unsafe)

Interesting, this was a topic of conversation recently that I had w/ crusin92red5.0. I told him a 17x9 wheel would not work w/ coil overs.

your wheels will start hitting your control arms at full turn... quite annoying.

it also throws your front wheels out of balance after they grind down once or twice

i think i get away with a 1/2 inch ..... i was thinking 93 cobra rotors first and then maybe spacers if i need them. the only thing that hits is the huge nut at the bottom of coilover...i figure if i clear that i will be smooth sailing

hrmmmm 1/2....... I used 1/4 MM spacer on the front of mine, but for different reasons
