293 cam??

am I missing something... a gentlemen sold me his dss racing block, stock 306 rebuild and gt40 heads (why I bought the motor to begin with) and he says theres a 293 cam in it. Whats the 293 cam??? not familiar with it... it pulls hard on the low end so im thinking it is a aftermarket cam

Mods are as follow

mass conversion with stock CAI and mass and 65mm tb-gt40 upper and lower intake-mac shorties-bbk h pipe- magnaflow muffs-gt40 heads and rebuild. Dyno says 271/268....Ya think it has a cam??? My friend and i can get ahold of this guy at all. IT pulls hard but i dont want to pull the cam, out and find out a new one makes less power..

Can anyone help me please?

who knows...........you'd have to pull the cam to confirm it's orgin

your right... but i was just curious......ill wait until my motor is in prime working order then pull it apart...but have you heard of this cam??

nope, never heard of a 293 cam
