So I have code 31 and 84 present in my 89, no fear I know why, I deleted egr and removed the vaccum regulator for the emissions, question is the CEL remains on for these codes = only ones present, I read about before the diode trio set up to address this issue, anyone have an article on the procedure and details on it's purpose??? thanks guys

yea it should. i ran codes right after i got my f'd up head back from the shop a month ago and came up all clear. i also have all emissions deleted.
**edit**
i'll revise that sentence. i had evr code originally when i started up the car. but after about an hour of use, i ran koeo/koer just to be sure that was all i got and it disappeared, so it may just calculate itself out after so much use. all i know as that it doesnt appear anymore.
(previous owner removed the check engine light so i have to run codes for now until i get that light bulb fixed.)
