Default 87 5.0 into 95 Gt

Ive been having problems with my 95 Gt 5.0, and im tired of dealing with them. I was going to take that problem out and put and 87 5.0 w/ high roller cam in it. Is there anything that i would neeed to change for it to work correctly, or would it do just fine without changing anything?
