Default Battery relocation and rear seat delete. Worth it?

Is this worth the effort. What's your opinion.

Is the battery in the way of something you need to stick in the engine bay?

I don't think you will loose more than 30-40 pounds removing the rear seats in a hatch.

battery in rear is very benefical for several reasons

one is weight off nose
two is weight over tire

rear seat gone is worth it if you want a lighter car, that along with many other things help out for drag racing

if you knew the extent i went thru to lighten my car and i still finding things to ditch. every little pound adds up. next thing to go is the cruise control module and the brake booster

when I did my battery the only difference was my 100ft times decreased by mabye 1 or 2 tenths of a second.
I had my backseat out since I bought my car. that was the first mod I did.

2 tenths off ET is a very nice improvement doesnt matter if its for 60' or 1320. 2 tenths is a nice gain for something so simple

Only 1 or 2 tenths I would kill for 2 thenths right now. If you do relocate the battery make sure you get an NHRA approved box, other wise they will fail you at tech, unless you build a sealed off compartment. I think Moroso makes a nice affordible box.

I put my battery in the back. It not only helps to take weight of the front but it gets you better weight distribution. As for the rear seat delete, I was going to do it but I now have a daughter so I need it to be able to take her for rides. Besides, deleting the rear seat doesn't help too much.

You'll move about 1.5% of the wieght to the rear. This is good due to a stock 5.0 car being about 56% on the front.....
