Default 4.10 gears...

I was wondering... what you guys think about 4.10s in a 5.0, also about gas mileage.... anything you might have to say would be helpful thanks...
Also if you're wondering about the name.. my gf is from the Philippines and we joke around about her being "imported"... I love Mustangs!

Ive heard 4.10's make a real big difference and you can really feel it. I've got a 5.0 wit an AOD and 4.10's on the way.As far as gas mileage, They say dont have s stang ive ur worried about gas mileage, but most of us have to worry bout it and ive heard it suffersa bit dependin on how u drive the car. Also if u hane 5Speed ive heard alot of 3.73 recommendations

It is a five speed. Well, what about nitrous? How much more horsepower would that give me?

nothing wrong w/ 4.10's in a 5-speed. i do it. rpm's are about 200-300 more than w/ 3.73's.

expect to tach about 3k at 70 in 5th gear.

and expect to run 13.20-13.40 on the 4.10's and cheaters w/ nothing else.

and as far as nitrous...how much hp do you want?

4.10's and a 100 shot will run 12.50's in a 5-speed.

all the smaller kits can be jetted for 75,100, 125 some up to 150. after that you need a different style kit, auxillary fuel pump etc. but you can get a 2 stage big shot kit that adds 500 hp.

Well since it's just a street car, you think 3.73s would make a noticable difference in acceleration?

That can't be right. 3K at 70 in 5th??? Can anyone else confirm that. Running low 13's with just 410's?? I'm not buying that for a second.

i strongly disagree w/ the low 13's w/ just 4.10s... As for 3k RPM, i have 3.55's and at 70 its about 2200, 4.10s are a good deal more agressive...
