Take the air box off and feel around if theres a big black thing still there thats the air silencer take it off and add a k&n air filter that should add about 3 or 4 more hp. To get it off theres 3 bolts you have to take off.

Do a search for it....there are plenty of threads on here about it. It's inside your fenderwell where the hole is for the filter/CAI

I wouldn't just remove the air silencer and add a K&N, you won't really feel it. I would remove the air silencer, add a K&N filter or a CAI, set my timing and set the TPS. There is a noticable difference to be had out of all that stuff.

Is your CAI a fenderwell kit or is the filter in the engine bay? If it's fenderwell, then your silencer has probably been removed, if it's in the engine bay, then it may still be in there, but won't affect anything. I'd look just to make sure and take it out if it's there.

Your timinig is set from the factory at 10*, but you can bump it up to 13-14*. You will need to use higher octane gas when you do that. Your throttle position sensor (tps) should be set at ~.98 at idle.
