5.0L (1979-1995) MustangTechnical discussions on 5.0 Liter Mustangs within. This does not include the 5.0 from the 2011 Mustang GT. That information is in the 2005-1011 section.
HEy guys my buddy just an 88 5.0 litre mustang but its got one problem, its and automatic. The thing is he had an 88 4 cylinder too that is standard.i was wondering if he could put the 4 cylinder tranny on the 5.0? This might be a stupid question but i wouldnt know cause i drive a Honda. Thanks
Yes it will, but it won't hold as much power as the 5.0 T-5's. I'd keep the AOD, but if you still decide to do the swap, I'd keep the AOD handy if you don't want to spend the m0oney on a new 5 spd
yeah i would just sell either or transmission and buy a new t-5. you'll be thanking yourself in a few years or at least until you performance upgrades start to stack up.
