going that far may not be a good idea. And it definately wont last too long.

If i were you id go no farther than a 393.

Going farther in my opinion is a waste of parts since its not going to last very long.

i do not understand the waste becuase the cylinders do not need to bored more than .30 and the stroker crank is std,std for a 351w, pistons are not flycut. is the block not strong enough to handle the hp? what parts willl not last that long. i have looked at 393 kits they are also excelent power makers but the 427 is a little better and not very much more. down fall on a 427 is no nitrous.

Maybe im just paranoid. But i like to be safe rather than sorry.

I think though as long as you didnt go machining the block to the max that you may be alright. But to be honest i would just get a 427 if you want a 427.

500 hp on a 351 is like a walk in the park its not **** for it to handle.Throwing nitrous in the mix is a whole new ball game though.

if your going to stroke the 351 out that far. find a 'R' block since theyre a stronger casting. and big cubing a small block isnt that bad of an idea you can get some serious gains for this setup. [take a look at the LS1 427 it started out as a 346 and look at it now. produces some serious numbers up around 700s]
back to the stroker if you go that large make sure you get lightweight parts so it revs quicker and itll have less stress since itll have less rotating mass

408 is ideal for a 351 stroker
