you get what you pay for.

my number 5 and 6 runners needed about a quarter inch taken off the inside of the ports on the upper intake side, not the head side.
it took a couple of hours to port it, but overall I should have just bought the edelbrock one, or the trickflow.
after a year my side cover is leaking oil and a slight vacuum leak.

had to use helicoils for all the lower bolt holes.
they stripped easy at only 24 ft/lbs.

Wow sorry about that, I assume you mean the holes in the lower part for the bolts to the upper part. Did the instructions say to torque to 24ft/lbs? I would have assumed 16 to 18 as the max for that size bolts in Aluminum.

I thought it was an okay intake for the money but I like the Trick Flow better.

Wow, I think they missed it on that one. My shop manual says 19 to 25 for factory but I like you found some will pull out before 25. I pull my lower intake bolts to 20ft-lbs and the upper ones to 18ft-lbs, so far no leaks even with 15#s of boost.

also, nice looking 4 eye.

thanks, as for pulling threads out, there is no reason to that they would other than cheap metal. The fact that the ports are up to a 1/4 inch off shows that they just ripped off a design and did little to check how far that they were off.

I hear ya twister. I guess I should give it some more thought and then make my decision. Any one else had a problem with this intake, or w/ professional products all together?
