Default f-303 cam

can i use the f-303 cam on a basically stock motor(stock heads, intake, and bottom end)? I don't know if there will be adequate valve clearance or if i will need new pistons, im trying to keep the stock bottom end for a while. I plan on putting the gt-40x heads and trickflow manifold on in the near future or all at the same time. Will this work???? Is this a good combo???

you should wat until you can afford to do it all at once, or enjoy doing the same work twice, f303 cam is suitible for that set up but you should consider a cam matched for the heads, any sales repatuble sales rep should be able to help. f303 should not have any clearance isues on a stock setup.

i would wait till you got some type of intake setup and head work. since that cam is a higher peaking cam. the stock intake and heads dont like to be pushed past 5gs tops. not enough flow rate

I would wait and not even use that cam...you need more lift on the exhaust side...I hate those abc cams[:@]

55,000 miles on engine, t-5 tranny, 3:55 gears, shorty headers, h-pipe, intake, short shifter, 190 liter fuel pump, thats about it. I am hoping for my car to hit high 12's with these mods along with a throttle body and maf.

and screw the GT-40 heads. [:'(]

I have an F cam and I like it. If you don't adjust the idle it'll stall on you though.
