Default how to get glue/sticky stuff off dash

well the owner before me had the dash cover
on the dash and over years in sunny CA..the
glue or adhesive is stuck on and im wondering
what will take it off..if tried some stuff..forgot
the name lol sorry and it started taking the
black paint off of the dash..

any suggestions?

any help is much appreciated

your dash is painted? hmm...try meguiars paint cleaner that comes in the 3 step wax kit. you can buy each bottle separate, i used it to take adhesive off my fender when i changed over to 5.0 elblems and it worked good.

Try this stuff called goof off. Get it at hardware stores. It's an adhesive remover. Maybe it will work for you.

3m adhesive remove let it sit it will loosen it up and can scrub it a little with a rag!

i think the goof off is what i used and it went through the black color

ya well its not painted but it came black, and the stuff i used took some of it off

hmm ok ill try that maguire's paint cleaner

Try rubbing it off with your fingers. If it's still sticky you will be able to "roll" it off. Will take a little time and effort but it won't take any of the color off your dash.

i have some kind of candy that is permanently stuck onto my dash

don't ask how it got there but it's there and WONT come off...

i took the thinnest razar i could find and tried to pry it off without hurting the dash but that failed

it looks like a red jolly rancher and it is melted into a liquid that is now stuck on my dash
