Hey all I havea 85 5.0 with stock 4 barrel and 5 speed. Im in Cali and it wont pass smog but this is whats happening. I adjusted idle and timing and it runs good, even better with egr disconnected. I can drive around and it runs like a champ then suddenly it wont idle every time I come to stop it dies. No sputtering or try to idle rpm drops to 0 and dead. I can then play with idle and timing to get it runnin again and it will be fine for a bit but then same thing will happen. Runs good for a while but then wont idle at all. No vaccuum leaks everything seems ok. Any ideas??

get a diffrent carb...also something could be sticking...bad coil...just check things one by one...
