Default Windshield Trim Removal

I've got a 1989 GT convertible. I need to remove the pillar trim that goes along the right and left side of the windshield. How, in the name of all that is good and Holy, do you remove these trim pieces without breaking or destroying them? Is there a book on how to do this? Please help.[:@]

The outside trim clips on. You need a tool like this to remove it:

there are clips .if u VERY GENTLY pry up with, a small flat screwdriver, between the glass & the trim u should be able to see them. then take another screwdriver & pry the clip loose. VERY GENTLY pull up the trim till u see the next clip and do it all over again. be carefull not to bend the trim. a couple screwdrivers and a little patience worked for me. or u could just find the tool 4 it. good luck.
