Default Drained Battery

I've got an 87 5liter LX, and just recently, my battery suddenly died. It was only about 5 or 6 months old, and i didn't drive it for a couple days, then i go to start it and it won't crank over! i hadn't left any lights on or any interior lights - nothing! does anyone know why my battery might have died?

If your deck is connected to your ignition then it won't drain your battery so if this problem does occure then try hooking it up to your ignition. Good luck

I don't have a deck though...i'm in the phase of changing from the stock tape player to a cd player that i ordered, so right now there's nothing in the "deck" spot...nothing hooked up. Do you have any other suggestions that might help?

Something is draining your battery. Chances are, there is a short somewhere that is causing a power drain. Those kind of problems are the hardest to find.
