i had 2 aod's and even use 4.10's in my 5-speeds.

it all depends on the converter you use.

if a 3000+ then ok w/ 3.73's , but i still like 4.10's over them

thats just my $.02

Ya converter makes a big difference i got 4.10 in mine but i got a stock converter and whe ni do change it i am only going to go to 2800. Plus with horsepower getting close to 400 or more at the wheels you will need whole high priced drag racing type suspension to hook up with 4.10's

wow ... so many opinions on the gears ... I guess all i can realy do is try them both right? at least that way i know what will work for my setup. I believe the converter in the car is a 2400 stall the guy that had the trans built said it has a 294 first gear in it? I think its the same first gear ration as the 5 speed ... I'm just so foriegn to automatics.. thanks again

stroker motor with 400+hp is not going to need 4.10's unless its not makeing the power till 6000plus rpms. you got to watch having to much gear and hp then you start having traction issues.

3.55's or 3.73's w/ the blower...you need to keep some load on the engine.

me I'd go with 3.55's since you top gear is 1 to 1 and with that said depending on your pulley for the SC you'll be in the 40,000 rpm on the SC and they have a 50k limit..something to think about....I run my sc @ 45,000 at redline
