Default Big Problem

To make a very long story short a so called buddy of mine thought it would be funny to remove a wheel of mine while i was at school so i got the wheel back on and decided it was time to get wheel locks, put them on in the rain = lost my wheel lock key. They are cobra r wheels and no tire shop has been able to get anything around the outside of the lock since the lug nuts are deep in there and there is not a lot of space around them. I am having the worst luck/year of my life any suggestions would help greatly

if there were room to weld there would be room to get to the lug.... I HATE wheel locks ... the only person they ever stop from getting a wheel off is the car owner.... the only suggestion i can think of now would be to start drilling the center of the lug graduating drill bit sizes untill the stud is drilled out , but the lock lug is usually hardened making it hard to drill ... I realy dont know what else to say that wouldnt damage the wheel. sorry ... you might have to bite it on this one... theres alot of crafty guys out there though keep searching the shops ... you might find someone that can help ... suggest drilling it ... maybe someone will make the effort.

Been here before, here is what your in for.

You need to pull out your socket set and find a socket that is about an 8th or 16th too small to fit over the lock lugs. Then head down to AZ or Harbor Freight if you have them and by the deep socket version multiplied times haw many locks you have. Grab a big sledge hammer and have that friend of your hold the socket over the lock straight and pound it on. The hard part is getting it started, thenyou have to keep it straight, otherwise it will wedge in there and wont loosen the lock. Next put your 3/8ths or preferably 1/2 drive on there and use a long pipe as a breaker bar, and slowly break them. If you have patience and do it right it should work. I had to do this on all 5 lugs, on all 4 wheels! In the rain!

I was drunk one night and I loose my sense of direction when I drink too much. Anyway I was headed the out of town when I should of been going the other way. It took me about 30 minutes to register and when I did I was pissed! It was dark and the entrance ramps had curves with curbs! I was going like 70 and hit the curb. Blew out all four tires and f'ed up my rims. I drove it to the gas station and tried to loosen the locks, then it stripped!@%%$ It makes me mad just thinking about it. I took a cab to my friends shop and luckily he lives above it and gave me the sockets and sledge. I picked up the factories and headed back. I still cant get rid of those rims........
