Default Inner Tie Rods

Has anyone replaced these on their mustang? One of mine is bad and Im thinking about replacing inner and outers. Any ideas on how difficult is and cost?

ITS EASY YOU HAVE TO REMOVE OUTER TO DO THE INNER SO YOU MINE AS WELL DO THE OUTERS

I just did mine last week. It was about 125 bucks. I got inner and outer TRW's at Advance Auto. It wasn't that hard. The worst thing was on the inners there is a little alum. pin that is hammered in that you have to drill out. The pin keeps the tie rod from spinning of the rack. It took me a couple of hours. You'll need to get it aligned after that.

MM&FF [or maybe 5.0] did an article on that w/in the past year. They were suggesting just to buy the center piece that has both inner tie rods on it as it's only ~$100 or so and it cuts down on the amount of work and time required to just remove the inners.

O'reilly auto has reman'd units for $79-89. I'll see what else I can find....

Okay....looks like I'm gonna switch to a manual rack...just found a flaming river on ebay for $155 new.[sm=drooldude.gif]

cost me $40 to do both sides, inners and outers. For the inners you just need to hammer out the pin and there's a special tool (looks like a piece of pipe) you need that fits over top of the entire inner and you just use a ratchet to take it out.
