My idler screw is rusty so its not moving, but I'm ordering a new TB as of now, 70mm bbk. I need one anyhow... maybe this iwll solve my problem too.

Are you running the engine with the MAF open? (not hooked up to the filter hose)... mine wouldn't idle correctly until it had a slight restrictiction in front of the MAF sensor.... I suspect the incoming air velocity was too low for the sensor to correctly measure...hence very poor idle... ran ok at partial throttle (more air velocity thru the maf)... that was some 10 years ago that I made the conversion to FI on my 69 GT350... has worked great ever since...

I took off the little plate on the back of the sample tube (sn95 only, I think) put on the filter and moved a wire that was against the header (arching causing a piston low) and my troubles were over... Still ordered that 70mm BBK throttle body though...

I had a 80mm MAF on mine (also had 65mm TB) and had no idle or driveability problems. Is the sample tube the right one? Also just curious but will the Cobra intake accept the 70mm TB? When I put the 65mm on mine I had to dremel the intake opening so that the air flowed somewhat unobstructed from TB to intake.
