460's fit easily in fox's. Im surprised you dont see more of them. especially when you look at the small block costs and issues versus big blocks. Mind you I say that when we start approaching 1000hp on pump gas. For most everyone a healthy small block is all they need.

[/quote]Sure we have built these big blocks regularly at those numbers on 93 octane. Its all about effieciency, we all know its easy as pie in a big block to make 1hp per cubic inch, and thats on a smog motor from the 1970's. Now your at 550-600 inches, so all it takes is a little over 1.5 hp per inch to make these numbers.

Well like I said alot of people are cool with a small block, with emissions and all. But 10k on a small block versus 6k on a big block that will turn circles around that small block would be a hard pill for me to swallow. I would be sick, im sure its plenty of fun though

Well if your building it yourself, even better a budget 500-600hp 466 with more off idle torque than a small block makes at peak is dirt cheap. Stock iron heads with a little work will support 600hp. Victor Jr intake, 850 holley and a solid cam and your there................

but, seeing as that everything minus the ecu would be replaced at some point why not? i mean new upper and lower intake, distributor, ignition, fuel pump, MAF sensor, injectors and so on. also, i want a Kenne Bell blower.
