I just ordered a cosmetic piece for my 1988 LX 5.0. I jsut realized somethign in the description and im not sure if it will fit my car. PLEASE HELP!! Heres the item

i think those are for gt's only, well i have never seen one on an lx anyway.

I'm pretty sure I've seen an lx w/ the cobra grille, I don't see why it wouldn't work

no, it is made to fit GT bumpers.
if you have a lx, then you have a grill opening there already.
the cobra bumpers are the same as a GT, but they have the cobra grill insert.

LX insert has the horizontal bar

that insert has the vertical bar

i would just keep the LX insert and replace the ford emblem with a pony or cobra

you have to cut the portion on the gt to fit the grille anyways, I dont see why you couln't do the same for the LX. I swear I have seen GT's with the same horizontal bar on the grille... or where all GT's solid and closed off with the ford emblem?

I wanted to get that also,I heard to make that work,you have to cut off the ford emblem,and where its attached to,and put the horse in its place..
