Default Balanced Thermostat

This is something have been wondering for sometime now. what is the diff between a regular thermostat and a balanced thermostat? thanks guys.

I've heard they are good for at least 10hp at the water pump. But only if you put in synthetic blinker fluid. Even if this was a real part I don't see what good it will do the thermostat does not spin so there is no reason to have it balanced

A balanced thermostat opens within 2° of the set point. The balanced design keeps from being forced closed by water pressure. Keeps engine cooler with consistent and accurate water flow.



And it gives you 20 rear wheel water pump power

Do you use the same balanced thermostat for a 28 oz. and a 50 oz. damper?.........J/K...they also make burping the cooling system a lot easier.
