Its on the back side of the key cylinder. It is what the cylinder turn to start the car and give it power. You can take the cylinder you just put in back out and see if you can turn the switch with a flat screwdriver other than that really no way to check. My best guess without seeing the car and looking at it the switch is gonna be the problem. It is fairly easy to change out.
