Default inside light

ok i drive a 95 mustang gt. when ever you open the door is the overhead light suspose to turn on. if so why doesnt mine. do i need to change the fuse. the only other electronic that doesnt work on my car is the clock. do they use the same fuse or is it a wireing problem? if anyone knows it would be awesome.

try pulling the assembly out and check if the bulb is blown. When I got my car they didnt work and I pulled all the crap out and all the wires were disconnected. [sm=badidea.gif]

could be a fuse but which one? i dont know which fuse the light runs off. id need the electric schematic. Could be buld too. change it out. U have sunroof? water may have shorted its cicuit?

the light works fine it just doesnt turn on when i open the door. like at night and you get in the car does you light turn on?

Yes. I'm not sure about the SN95 but the Fox's assembly has two positions. Try taking a voltage tester and see if the wires up there are getting power. That will give you a good place to start.

Does it work if you open the other door? Check the switch in the door jam.

yes they are getting power b/c i can turn them on by fliping the switich. i was wanting to know if they turn on by themselves when you open the door?
