Default 1994 5.0 EGR

Im new to the forum so bear with me.I just put a 5.0 crate motor in a 94 GT and its vortech supercharged and trick flow intake etc.My question is.What kinda problems will I incurr by unhooking and blocking off the EGR valve.WAAAYYY to much heat goin in the intake and we all know what heat takes away from superchargers.I appreciate any input.THX

the exhaust gasses that are recirculated actually cool the intake charge. if you removed the egr, your intake charge temperature would skyrocket causing your motor to ping.

You will have to get a simulator or you will have detonation. It is posible, I don't have a egr anymore.

Yes...but if the hot exhaust gas isn't going though the intake, what is going to make it hotter? The exhaust is what make the intake hot.

The EGR system is used to lower oxides of nitrogen emission levels caused by high combustion temperatures. the EGR recirculates a small amount of exhaust gases into the intake manifold. the additional mixture lowers the temperature of combustion thereby reducing the formation of NOx compounds.

Too little or no EGR flow allows combustion temperatures to get too high during acceleration and load conditions. this can cause detonation, engine overheating or emission test failure.

I have eliminated the egr on my car and runs the same, if not better.
