i'm about to change the power steering pump. is there a special tool needed to get the pulley off the pump?? or can i just pull it off with muscle power? are there any other weird things to look for when changing this pump or is it pretty cut and dry?

yeah you use a pulley removal tool.... Its pretty easy, just disconnect the fluid hoses at the reservoir, pressure hose, take off the belt, remove the pulley and the mounting bolts and she should come out.....

Yeah dont risk it.Just get the tool.The install and removal of the pump is self explanatory.
