Front Alignment

RE: Front Alignment
you only need to do a 2 wheel alignment on a mustang since the rear is a solid axle. its non adjustable. IRS rear suspension would need a 4 wheel. but even a 2 wheel alignment charges like ..1.2 hours. 90 bucks is pretty resonable at a dealership i think. we charge about the same where i work.
and no, you cant do it by yourself. you have to have it on an alignment machine. otherwise you're gonna screw your toe adjustments up and its going to wear the tires down in like a month. does it drift or does it pull? a drift is a very slight movement, but still noticible. and pull is well..jerks your car towards the guardrail on the side of the highway. could be your camber, which you still cant do by yourself. just take it to ford and tell those bitches to give you a good ol 2 wheel alignment.

RE: Front Alignment
Ask around for a good shop. Around here there is a good shop that is the best and they only charge about $35 for a front end alignment. They did ours on a 93 mustang and it runs as straight as an arrow.

RE: Front Alignment
Theres more to it than the car pulls/drifts. Most roads have whats called a crown, its designed into iem for rain water runoff, in the left lane your car should drift to the left and in the right lane it should drift to the right. They have to toe in about a .25 of a degree to compensate for the crown.

PS: I adjusted my own camber, without an alignment machine. I had it checked last time I got tires and it was as far negative as it would go without wearing tires.

RE: Front Alignment
actually if your camber is so far negative you wont see tire wear right away it would be in the long run, thats why each car has its own alignment specs i love how people that dont know anything about what there talking about try to argue that there right, love it
