Default Burn out contest...

It was graduation night last night and I went to a party and what happens when a whole bunch of drunk hot rodders get together?! A burnout contest. Well I pulled out the ol' 5.0, went to powerbrake it (on dry pavement) and I got em to spin a little bit but it just stayed at like 2,500 rpms and wouldn't go any higher, I was pissed, it was kinda embarrasing. Maybe I was on the brakes a little bit too hard?

That sounds odd...how hard were you standing on the brakes? Your butt should be on the seat still....

auto or 5sp? shouldnt really matter how hard your on the brakes. Were your tires spinning and it still wouldnt go over 2500?

Nope sorry I didn't drink, I wasn't drunk, I had to go to work a little bit later. But no the e-brake wasn't on. I think that I found my problem though, my airfilter was pretty dusty (I live on dirt roads) and I blew it out this morning before work and I almost choked myself with all the dust and **** that was in it. I wasn't bragging about drinking and driving, dunno where you got that from. But it was funny to see some dumbasses put an old plymouth duster and a challenger with a 440 6pack into the ditch, my buddy's got 12 different perfectly restored mopar muscle cars. But anyways, oh well, there was a 72 vette their that was having the same problem, couldn't get the tires to roast worth a ****, maybe it's because we were both autos.
