smog pump question?

Default smog pump question?
Well today I took off the smog pump on my 91 mustang lx 5.0. My question is how do you plug the holes in the heads? What bolts do you use?

Someone makes a plug for them but its 1/4 inch pipe thread. I made mine from a 1/4 pipe thread nipple. I cut it in half and welded it up solid then painted it and threaded them in.

So are both heads threaded of not I really couldn't tell. And If so I can just put a bolt in there to plug it and thats it.

I tried to screw in the 5/8 course bolt and it didn't go in far maybe a couple of threads and thats it.
