Default Mass Airflow ?

Whats going on guys ... just got a 88 GT 5.0 and there is no maf sensor and i don't even see the harness for it .....

is it possible that the car doesn't have one...

Second problem is that its idle is high around 1000 rpm and timing feels off pulls strong bottom end 1000-2800 then it pings ....

by the way im new to mustangs so be patient with my lack of knowledge about them...

thanks

Welcome here.....I don't have mass air either 1988 as well. This isn't a problem at all though, don't worry about it, I've got some decent mods on my car and the forced air is doing just fine. You only might consider mass air if you get into heads/intake/blower etc. And the idle problem, Very common to mustangs.[:'(]

I have an 88 GT and even though it ran fine with speed density, after I converted to MAF, throttle response was drastically better, and the car had more pull to it, so I recommend converting, its an easy thing to do yourself.
