dumb spark plug question

Default dumb spark plug question

plugs are gapped at 44 need to be changed to 35 becuase im putting a supercharger on, is there anyway to do that or do i need to buy new plugs?

Just get a spark plug gapper. You just push the electrode in than use the gapper it pull it back out to what you want. You don't need new plugs.

ya i figured i was just bein slow, there iriduim plugs, 13 bux a piece so i dont exactly want to have to buy new ones

You can get the gapper (dont know exactally what you would call it lol) at autozone or any parts store for like 2 bucks. They make them so you can put them on your keychains, etc.

You don't gap iridium plugs (unless you know what you're doing).
Most copper/platinum plugs simply need to be tapped against a table lightly to work them down to the gap you need.
You can't stick a gapper in iridiums. The electrode is a very thin piece of metal, like a needle. If you are hamfisted you will break the electrode right off or worse, weaken the metal and it will break off after you've already installed them and the car is running.
