Default possible fuel pump????

As some of you may know, i just put in replaced my lifters and push rods , well in order to do so you have to drain the fuels and such. Well after i was done andgot it back together and all, got fuel pressuer back in the lines, i started it up ran perfectly. But if you move to the back right side you can hear a humming from the fuel pump. Is this pump going out, or is it just needing to rebuild pressure and it will eventually go away???And when im at idle at a red light, my car is wanting to stall. It will get low in the rpms and stall, i have to keep the gas pedal down to keep it from stalling, and it hesitates when istart off. What could this be. Every ****ing week something new happens, guess thats the bad thing about owning a FORD. Fix or repair daily, lol but gotta love\hate doing it. thanks guys

Theyre supposed to hummm.I think your problem lies else where.

Have you checked your fuel pressure with a gauge?

well the only way youre gonna find out youre fuel pump is toast, You need to hook up a pressure test to the fuel line to see what the reading is? And if youre fuel pump is weak you will have a loss of power? does youre rpm tach move up and down while idle? if so look at getting the pressure test done on the pump.

bad idle could also be the idle air control solenoid on the side of the throttle body. you can remove it and clean it good with carb cleaner and make sure all the electrical connections are tight to everything under the hood. also check make sure no vacuum leaks anywhere.
