Default couple questions after a couple mods :)

I just put in a radical cam and gt40 upper and lower intakes on an otherwise stock motor, and now i have a few questions...
The idle is crap, it lobes from 600 to 1100 till the computer has a chance to catch up. I heard of something that goes between the IAC and the throttle body, think it is called an idle air bypass valve, that is supposed to help with the idle of radical cams, is this right or do i got the name wrong?
Also there is a ticking coming from the motor, it has always been there, but it is alot louder now. Think it is lifters? The guy I bought the cam from has a set he will sell me for like 50 bucks, but i dont wanna spend it if thats not it.
So now that I have all that done, I am looking at a bigger TB and exaust, will I be able to tell a difference in hp if i get 70mm TB and exaust put on? thanks

I have a 351 windsor in my mustang and kept it fuel injected. I have a motorsport Z303 cam as long as every other upgrade you can imagine. When I first ran it it wouldnt idle period. It fluctuated from 500-1500. It kept surging and wasnt ever consistent. I bought the idle bypass valve from steeda for about 19 bucks. It allows you to set the idle with 2 screws as opposed to trying to set the idle on the throttle body and resetting the TPS every time you move it. It made a world of difference. The idle isnt perfect but stays around the 1200 rpm zone. Kinda high but with the Z cam and everything else I have I can live with it. You might also check your tps voltage. I set mine to.98 volts at idle and make sure it goes to about 5 volts at wot, thats where I think it worked best for me. Dave

New roller lifters are 109.00 through crane and motorsport is right around the same price. I honestly noticed a huge difference when going to a 70mm tb and spacer. I reccomend accufab, it not only looks great but works perfectly. Dont forget about mass air canister and injectors if you havent already donr so. I have the C+L 73 mm kit with the power elbow, great kit. Dave
