Default Another clutch question

I just replaced my stock cable set-up with a complete kit from UPR. The instructions told me to remove the stock quadrant AND SPRING.
My question is will this be ok? I ask this because now the only thing that "pulls" the clutch up is the tension from the pressure plate, correct?
I drove it, and everything seems to work fine. Just need a little reassurance, I guess

You are safe. that is how it supposed to be. Just make sure you adjust it properly so you dont wear the clutch fast. Only little tension at the fork on the bottom

There is supposed to be a spring in there but it's probably not really needed.
