Default Starting Problem HELP!!

ok i have an 89 stang 5.0, cobra upper/ lower intake, 65 mm. tb, cold air indiction, E-303 cam, etc. i just recently removed my smog pump and also installed a bbk fuel press. regulator. i have it set at 40psi with the vaccum tube diconnected. (i have stock injuectors) after i did these 2 things ive noticed that sometimes when i start my car it takes longer to fire up, it cranks longer. after it starts it runs fine but it never used to take this long to fire up. i dunno if its my battery or sumptin with my car not getting enough fuel psi.
please help thanks.

Try turning the key to on and waiting for the feul pump to turn off then see if it still takes as long. If it's a pressure problem it would make sense that letting it build up a little would help. If this doesn't help I'd start looking elsewhere, unless someone else knows something more specific.
