I have a 91 gt 5speed and i have centerforce clutch cold air intake and open exhaust after the cats and I drive it everyday anywhere from 20-120 miles, i drive for pizza hut delivery so it gets used constatnly, it has 108 miles and i get about 200 -225 miles between fill ups, as far as problems i have none aside from a starter, smog pump and replaced the clutch. It still runs like a dream but i am begining to worry about the higher miles although its showing no signs of trouble.

I've had mine (mods in my signiture) for almost three years and all I've done is an alternator. I need to do brakes now but that has nothing to do with reliability. It's a great car, only thing that has sucked is the winter. I've got gears that will be in within a month and then I wanna get a cam in this summer.

I have a 94 stang with 120K on the motor. Engine is stock with BBk headers, MARCH pulleys, K&N cold air intake, BBK h-pipe and Flowmasters. 100 shot of NOS when needed. The tranny is a T5 with a short shifter and alluminum Ford Racing driveshaft. The clutch is king cobra which is a good clutch for the mods that I have. The rear is a stock 8.8 with 4.10 gears. Iwould not recommend them if you do a lot of freeway driving. I would go with 3.73 or 3.55 for that otherwise you will burn gas and loose top speed. I have had little to no problems with the car except a detonation problem due to carbon build up. Roundman gave me the tip on how to take care of the problem and now it seems to be running OK. I get about 200-250 miles between fill ups and drive about 50-60 miles daily. It is a good car and fun to drive.

before I took my 88 GT with AOD off the street several years ago, it was my daily driver and race car on the weekends. starting racing it at 78,000 miles with slicks and it's still going strong today as a full time race car with over 108,000 miles. added a chip and underdrive pulleys and shorty equal length headers with off road H-pipe and cat back exhaust when it was still on the street, and also put in 3.73 rear gears with an Auburn posi. with the AOD, I could cruise the interstates at 70 mph and get 300+ miles to a tank of gas too. the Stang is a dead on reliable car and the motors are tough little suckers too!
I would do all you want except nitrous to yours and you will be fine.

I drive a Nissan Maxima. My Mustang info is in the sig. below. I would drive my mustang daily but I want to be able to drive it hard without worrying about braking something. It gets about 13 to 20 mpg in town depending on how happy my right foot is. It gets 27 mpg on the highway.

Hey Wesde, did your aluminium driveshaft increase throttle response at all? I know less rotating mass should let you get your RPM's up quicker, that's the logic behind lightened flywheels on a lot of imports but I didn't know if that would make any real world differance.
