Default Ford Racing Disc Brake Conversion??

Ok, I am bighting the bullet and swapping the oem brake system on my 85 Gt Convertible for the ford racing system.I also am putting the ford racing springs on, which will lower the car slightly. I need to order new rims, anything I should stay away from as far as back spacing etc.? And has anybody seen an 85 or 86 riding on 18's? All response is appreciated!
